Due to recent changes in health care systems, professional spiritual care providers in our hospitals, and long-term care facilities have been reduced or eliminated. As Christians, we are called to look after one another. The experience of a visit to a person that is home bound, sick in the hospital, or in long term care, can be very rewarding for all involved. Individuals, with a heart filled with compassion can make a huge difference in the life of someone who is suffering, whether from injury or illness. All sick, home-bound, and injured people need an advocate, someone to speak for them. They also need a warm, compassionate friend to visit them.
We are looking for volunteers to regularly visit members of our community who are sick, hospitalized, or otherwise home bound, and are unable to join us for our weekend liturgy. This ensures an ongoing connection to our parish community. These volunteers may also bring the Eucharist.
If you, or someone you know, would like to receive a visit or to volunteer in this ministry, please contact the parish office.

"Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
